That’s three out of every one-hundred babies born with birth defects. There are over 4,000 birth defects know to the world. (“Kids Health." Birth Defects) The most common ones include leg defect heart defects and so many more. But the main one I’m here to tell you about is leg defects. Imagine if your baby was born with one of its leg longer then the other or his/her leg was bent and twisted in a different direction. The first thing a mother thinks is what is wrong with my child and how did this happens? (Thoughts and comments) Birth defects can be cause by many different things each one different, one example we here a lot about is that certain medication could be the cause of this. But birth defects can be cause by a lot of other things. Some birth defects can be passed through genetics. Although many of these can be cured some can cause very deaths. (“Kids Health." Birth Defects) Many kids with birth defect often suffer and are looked at as undefined to the rest of the world because our world has a strict demeaned for perfections. We would like to help kids that have legs defects get treatment to help them live a better life where they can play outside with friends and not be look at differently in the world. We have seen the tolls of this and we are very sad that so many kids are born like this each year and without and control over it. So we choose to help them gain control over it. The solution we have made is making a fundraiser to help out the kids around the world to get prosthetic legs that work and feel like real legs. What we will do to achieve our goal is we will have a track run for the children and we will try and raise money for the children. Our goal is $5,000, this is what we want to earn for the children at the least so they can use the money for whatever they want and for the doctors to keep searching for a cure. This will make children happy that they know someone out there is caring about them. Because if I had a leg deformity. I would be happy to know that someone is caring about me. Another thing that would help is the Relay for Life money can drive that we have going for school. That will also help children around the world. Linda and I can help get the word around by letting people know what is wrong with these children and how they have to live without legs. We would post flyers and have it in the newspaper and everything to get the word around. That’s how we would help children with leg deformities. I did the Nobel Peace Prize and the Grover C. Fields Peace Prize Project.
For the Nobel Peace Prize Project. I did Nobel winner Ellen Sirleaf Johnson. I learn that she was fighting for equal rights for women and girls inAfrica. She also is the president ofLiberia,Africa.
For my Grover C. Fields project. I did birth defects. I learned that 1in 1000 kids are born with Birth Defects. I also learn that Birth Defects can be cause by natural causes or can be inherited.
